Canvas Integrations & 3rd Party Tools

Canvas Integrations & 3rd Party Tools

Canvas has the ability to integrate with other compatible web-based software. This is a very similar concept to having apps on your phone or tablet.  Compatible software that is used by several different faculty or divisions can be integrated with the entire Canvas account, while one-time use software or software that is being tried out and tested might need to be integrated in just one or two courses to begin with.

Considerations & Installation Process

If you need a new, compatible software integrated with Canvas, please fill out the request form Links to an external site. a quarter before you would like to use the software. Faculty are responsible to working with rep for the software and getting the funding, accessibility, and date security information. eLearning can assist with the  accessibility and security assessment as well determine if the tool is the good fit.

Support

eLearning often can't provide support for 3rd party tools beyond the initial integration. Faculty should provide students with contact information for the technical support for any 3rd party tools and software used in their courses. If students are struggling to get support, eLearning can often help students and faculty contact technical support.
